IMG_3079 Shrimp Boats Morning Catch

I love seafood! When I lived on the west coast shrimp boats weren't any part of the sea scape. But now that I live on the east coast. Coastal cities of Georgia and South Carolina are filled with the fishing trades. I enjoy crack and peel shrimp. Shrimp boats have a special appeal. Boats with a purpose and a specialized way of catching and netting shrimp. I wanted to depict this precision in my painting. As the boats are coming in from the morning catch can't you just hear the deck hands cheering and sharing excitement about the morning haul. The boats are low in the water and the gulls are squaking and begging for a fresh and tasty morsel.
