Looking at the moody sky inspired me to create this painting from the pier at Wrights Beach in North Carolina.How often do we as a people ignore the signs of trouble, in this case the weather. We are lured by the pounding of the surf, the warmth of the sun, children laughing and playing and the gulls doing their thing. I used a combination of pallet knife and brush to create the mood.
